Week # 4: Speech Writing

Objectives:

  • Apply principles of public speaking.
    • Differentiate between relevant and irrelevant elements of speaking in public
  • Create a research paper on an agricultural topic.

Learning Activities:

This PowerPoint may seem elementary school for speech writing but sometimes it helps to go over the basics of writing.

This PowerPoint on Public Speaking Connectives gives great ideas on putting your speech together.

Use this PowerPoint on Public Speaking to help you choose a topic, develop an outline, and write a speech on an agricultural topic.

If you were teaching a unit on prepared public speaking you may use this lesson plan from the Georgia Agriculture Curriculum.

An excellent resource for writing a speech is Speechtips.com
