Week # 14: Marketing the Agriculture Program

Objectives:

  • Create publications for use in the agricultural industry

Learning Activities:

Part of being an effective leader is getting people to join your team. This week you are challenged to discover ways to reach people with your message. Posters can help communicate information if done correctly.

 

Here are some other tips on creating a great poster.

Organizations use newletters to communicate. Lots of times though they are simple thrown away before they are even read. This article will help you develop newletters that will be read.

 

NCSU offers an online course in marketing for agriculture programs. Go to the Program Marketing in Agricultural and Extension Education homepage and click around if marketing is your kind of thing.

This week you will create a marketing item for your agriculture program or a local agribusiness. This may be a brochure, t-shirt, video, web page, or TV/radio commercial. Turn it into your advisor and send it to the other GOAL members.

Finish up preparations for your Food for America program in the elementary/middle school. Turn in your plan to your advisor.
